Illumino Certification Policies:

 

In order for a student in good standing to receive a certificate of completion at the end of their illumino lash workshop, they must be able to demonstrate their ability to safely attach a total of 10 perfect eyelash extensions and pass a written exam during the workshop.

The criteria for “perfect eyelash extensions” are as follows: there must be 10 eyelash extensions on each eye, each extension must be placed at least 1 mm from the eyelid, no glue should be touching the eyelid/skin, each eyelash extension is attached to a singular eyelash, there are no visible clumps of eyelash glue, lashes are symmetrical and facing in the proper direction, and the technician has used appropriate lash sizes for their client. The eyelash extensions must be attached in front of the illumino instructor during the practical hands-on workshop and there must be accompanying before and after photographic evidence.

Students must pass the written exam with a minimum score of 23 out of 30 resulting in a score of 75%. The exam covers basic knowledge of: eyelash anatomy, sizing and measuring extensions, and standards of eyelash extension service. The test will be closed note, this means that any notes the students take they will not be allowed to use. The illumino student manual cannot be used during the exam.  All students will have 30 minutes to complete the written portion of the exam. Must also pass the hands-on practical portion with a score of 75 out of 100 points. Passing both portions, practical eyelash extension application and the written exam, is required for certification. A certificate is not guaranteed to every participant of an illumino workshop.

If an illumino eyelash extension student is unable to pass either the written or practical portion of the workshop certification process then they are entitled to a 75% discount on their subsequent illumino lash workshop. No illumino students are guaranteed a certificate upon completion of any illumino workshops.

 

Merchandise Purchasing Policy and Acceptable Uses:

All purchases of class materials are non-refundable regardless of whether or not the student passes the workshop. Until the student passes the illumino lash workshop and receives their certification as an illumino eyelash technician, they will not be eligible to purchase or replenish any illumino lash products after the first-time purchase.

 

The illumino merchandise is only for use in accordance with the laws of your state, such as: (1) by schools that hire illumino lashes specialists to provide training at their schools, (2) for purchase and use by students at schools that offer an illumino lashes training course; (3) by any student intending to become certified by illumino lashes in the illumino lashes eyelash extensions technique; and (4) by certified illumino lashes specialist in “good standing” (as defined below) in performing the illumino lashes technique on members of the public.

 

The above shall constitute the “allowed uses” of the merchandise. The merchandise is not intended, nor should be used at any time, for self-application.

U.S. Return Poilcy and Instructions:

Your refund will be issued in the same form as the original payment within 30 days of receiving your return order. If your credit card has expired or we cannot refund your account for any reason, we will issue your refund in the form of store credit or gift card.

We can only accept returns if the merchandise was directly purchased from illuminolashes.com. At this time, we cannot process returns from other stores and other online retailers.

When returning any part of your order, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Keep your packing slip for your records.
  2. Contact info@illuminolashes.com for a return pre-paid* label.
  3. Pack the item(s) securely in the original product packaging, if possible. Please include all items and packing slip. All items must be returned in unopened and in good condition to ensure credit.
  4. Remove, completely cover or mark through any other shipping labels.
  5. Affix the pre-paid* label to the package. Do not alter the label.
  6. Drop off your package to your nearest USPS location. No postage is required with a pre-paid label & return is free of charge.
  7. For your records, make note of the return tracking number.
  8. Track your shipment by visiting http://www.usps.com.

Please note: The original Shipping and Handling fee will not be refunded. If you do not have a Hassle-Free Returns pre-paid label printed on the reverse side of your pack slip, or would prefer to use your own shipping method, please follow steps 1-4 above. Conditions for Good Standing and Certification with illumino lashes include:

To earn and maintain your good standing and certification with illumino lashes, you must:

  1. Purchase a illumino lashes kit (any size)
  2. Provide proof of your state professional license, formal training and or credentials

(If you are a currently attending school or currently awaiting for your license, we will hold your certification until you can provide us proof of your state board license.)

  1. Be able to demonstrate to a certified illumino lashes instructor that you grasp the key concepts by passing the multiple choice written exam with a score of 75% or greater.

-AND-

  1. Be able to demonstrate hands-on practical to a certified illumino lashes instructor that you can perform the techniques safely and maintain good standing requirements with a score of 75% or greater.
  2. Purchase any illumino adhesives four (4) times a calendar year
  3. Send in High-Resolution close up photos of three (3) different lash work to submit for the illuminolashes.com website’s profile.
  4. Those who remain in good standing after six months and have sent at least 3 full-sets of lash extensions photos by email and have met the criteria above will be placed on the illumino lashes website “store locator.”

 

At our sole discretion, you may be invited to attend additional training to make up for any deficiency in the above requirements for certification. Any students that attempt re-certification are entitled to a 75% discount of the original workshop fee. Please keep informed that student kit or lunch will NOT be provided for the re-certification workshop. State licensing requirements for the application of lash extensions vary from state to state, so it is incumbent upon you to research the requirements for your state and comply with any laws and requirements concerning the application of any lash extension products.  It is the policy of illumino lashes to sell the merchandise only to licensed professionals in the beauty and medical industry.

Whereas certain states do not require a license to practice certain beauty or body treatment disciplines, such as permanent make-up artistry, illumino lashes requires that such individuals provide proof of formal certificate training or acceptable certification.  As an express condition of this sale, you hereby agree to submit a copy of your professional state license to illumino lashes at the time of your request for the merchandise by email to: info@illuminolashes.com, and further agree to present the professional state license and photo ID, as applicable, to the illumino lashes specialist at your scheduled training location.

 

Theory Review and Practical Refreshers:

After attending a training workshop, you are welcome to attend one (1) additional scheduled workshop course on “illumino lashes basic and technique course” at no additional training charge within six (6) months of the initial course.  This six (6) month period is effective exactly six (6) months from the training workshop, whether or not training is offered in your specific geographic area. Theory review and Practical refreshers can be arranged within six (6) months of the original class date at NO additional cost to any student that has successfully completed the written portion of the certification process as well as passed the practical exam. Practical Refreshers can be arranged within six (6) months of the original class date to any student that has successfully completed the written portion of the certification process as well as passed the practical exam. Practical Refreshers are free for qualified students and will be scheduled at the illumino lashes instructor’s availability.

Lunch and training supplies are not included with your review session, so please make arrangements with your illumino lashes specialist for lunch and plan to arrange for any required additional supplies or products needed. If you would like to schedule a review or refresher session, please notify our headquarters as soon as possible to reserve your seat, as space is limited and is subject to availability. Certain restrictions to this policy apply to training courses held at locations with a three-person minimum course capacity. In such cases, arrangements for your free review course may be coordinated with your illumino lashes specialists, or you may be required to take the free review course at an alternate location.

 

Rescheduling or Cancelling Training:

illumino lashes is focused primarily on providing you with the best training experience possible. Doing so requires advance planning and expenditures. Therefore no refunds on training fees or deposits will be given after the order is processed. If you need to reschedule your course or training, you may do so upon written request to info@illuminolashes.com. If illumino lashes, by their own action, has to reschedule a course or training to an alternate date, time, and location and the student is not able or willing to reschedule to an alternate date, time, or location then illumino lashes will refund the training fee within 30 days of your written request for a refund.

The non-refundable administrative charge applies as follows:

  1. With twenty-one (21) days or greater written notice, refund of the deposit will be credited after deducting all travel cancellation fees incurred;
  2. Within twenty (20) to seven (7) days of the scheduled course, a $450 non-refundable administrative fee applies;
  3. Six (6) days or less of the scheduled class, a $550 non-refundable administrative fee applies;
  4. If you fail to attend a scheduled illumino lashes training course without notice, a $800 administrative fee applies;

 

You are solely responsible for all costs incurred from a cancellation, travel and otherwise. illumino lashes will NOT provide reimbursement for time spent or travel expenses.
