What were some of the biggest challenges you faced when starting your career?

"One of the biggest challenges I faced was timing. As a perfectionist, I've always held myself to a very high standard. I never wanted to rush through a service or compromise on quality just to fit into a tighter schedule. In the beginning, that made it hard to balance efficiency with the level of detail I wanted to deliver. Over time, I learned how to refine my work without sacrificing the excellence I believe my clients deserve. I really started building my brand during my second year of college, fresh out of the Covid pandemic. I was juggling a full academic schedule, launching my business from scratch, and living with immunocompromised family members, which made everything from marketing to taking clients feel like a calculated risk. On top of that, I worked multiple retail and beauty-related jobs to gain hands-on experience and better understand the business side of the industry. My brain naturally works in a way where I want to dissect systems from the inside out, I was constantly observing how things operated and thinking about how I could do it differently or better within my own brand. I used every cent of the funds made from these "main jobs" that felt like side jobs at heart to build my passion from the ground up. Building a clientele from zero in such an uncertain time forced me to grow fast, stay disciplined, and learn how to show up with care and confidence even when everything around me felt unstable. I never turned down any opportunities that were thrown my way, because you never know what something may teach you or a new path/door it will open."

How has your beauty career evolved since then?

"My beauty career has evolved from a solo passion project into a professionally structured, education-driven brand. In the beginning, I was focused on mastering techniques and perfecting my craft. Now, I'm deeply invested in why those techniques work, how to push them further, and how to teach them to others. Education remained at the core of everything I do. I've consistently invested in new certifications, trainings, and mentorship opportunities to stay ahead of industry standards and elevate the experience I offer to clients. With time, I developed a clear identity as a specialist, someone who clients trust not just for a service, but for answers, insight, and long-term results. That naturally led me into the next phase of my carrer: education. I've started stepping into the role of a mentor and trainer, using my platform to empower other artists with the knowledge and confidence I wish I had access to earlier on. My brand is no longer just about providing services. It's about creating impact, leading with integrity, and building a legacy in the beauty industry."

What keeps you passionate about lashing every day?

"For me it's the creativity. Since I was a little girl, I've always loved working with my hands. Whether it was solving puzzles, or doing anything detailed and artistic. Over time, those early hobbies turned into drawing, painting, and playing with makeup. I still remember being 6 years old, going to the store with my grandmother, and always coming home with a little lipstick or eyeshadow. That love for beauty has been with me ever since it grew as i did. Lashing is the perfect blend of artistry, precision, and care. It allows me to express my creativity in a way that also makes others feel confident and beautiful and thats what fuels me. I genuinely enjoy every part of the process, even the parts that are challenging. The lash world, and the beauty industry in general, are constantly evolving, and I love that I get to evolve with them. There's always a new technique to try, a new product to master, or a new way to grow, not just as a lash artist, but as a person."

How would you rate the safety of the Lynk-Gel system?

What is your favorite part of lashing?

"The artistic challenge"

What do you love most about being a lash artist?

" What I love most is the customization, getting to find the perfect lash set that aligns with each client's individual features, goals, and lifestyle, while prioritizing their lash health. It's like solving a puzzle every time, and i find the process so intriguing. No two clients are the same, and I love being able to tailor each set to enhance their natural beauty in a way that feel effortless, sustainable, and unique to them. It's not just about making lashes look good, it's about making them work for each person in a way that's long-lasting, safe, and confidence-boosting."

If you could give one piece of advice to new lash artists, what would it be?

"Never stop learning! This industry is always evolving, and the most successful artists are the ones who stay curious, stay humble, and stay committed to growth. Trust in yourself, trust in your knowledge, but also keep an open mind. Every client, every set, every challenge is a new opportunity to refine your craft. Above all, treat every client with the same dignity and respect you would offer yourself. Your skill will get people through the door, but your integrity and care are what keep them coming back."

What made you decide to try Lynk-Gel in the first place?

"Honestly, I came across Lynk-Gel by fluke through an instagram ad. I hadn't seen or heard of many artists offering light-cured lash systems at the time, and it immediately caught my attention. What intrigued me the most was how it addressed the very things that make many clients hesitant to continue with lash extensions, stinging, burning, irritation, allergies, discomfort, and poor retention. I did a deep Dive into the research and was impressed by how innovative and client-focused the system really was. Once I realized it could not only elevate my artistry, but also take my client care and safety to the next level while setting me apart in my area, I knew it was something I had to invest in."

What was your first impression during training, and how did it feel compared to traditional lashing methods?

"I was honestly nervous going into the training. It was the most intense, focused, and well-structured lash course I had ever taken. It didn't feel like I just purchased a course; it felt like I was truly being trained. There were multiple assessments I had to complete just to qualify as a candidate for the technique, which made it clear right away that this wasn't just another certification, it was a commitment to mastering something advanced. Unlike traditional lash trainings, this required me to already have a strong foundation. Lynk-Gel builds on traditional skills but demands more precision, control, and awareness and I loved that. The moment I started working with the system, I felt a whole new level of confidence and creativity. Compared to traditional adhesives and methods, Lynk-Gel instantly gave me more control and consistency. It made me realize that the limits I'd accepted before didn't actually have to exist. This system completely shifted the way I approached lashing."

How has Lynk-Gel changed your lash game or business?

"Lynk-Gel completely revolutionized my lash game. It elevated my techniques, sharpened my skills, and deepend my knowledge of lash science and application. It pushed me to a higher standard as an artist, one that prioritizes precision, client care, and innovation. From a business standpoint, it was a pivotal turning point. Offering a service that's still new to the market gave me a major edge. It's a premium technique with premium value, and that naturally translated into greater demand and higher profitability. Lynk-Gel didn't just elevate my artistry; it brought a new level of credibility and wealth into my company."

What results or feedback have you noticed from clients since switching to Lynk-Gel?

"The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The main thing clients mention is how much more comfortable the experience is compared to traditional extensions. There’s no stinging, no burning, no lingering fumes and for many, that alone is a game changer. They also love the improved retention. Clients feel more confident knowing they don’t have to worry about avoiding certain skincare products or being overly cautious around their eyes. They notice the difference, not just in how the lashes look, but in how they feel during and after the service. For a lot of them, it’s the first time lash extensions have truly felt sustainable and irritation-free."

What's your favorite illumino product you can't live without?

"Honestly, it’s almost impossible to pick just one but if I had to narrow it down, my top three would be the Green Gel Eye Pads, Illumino Tweezers, and their Prep System. The Green Gel Eye Pads have been a total game changer. They’re incredibly comfortable for clients, stay perfectly in place, and provide added skincare benefits making the service feel even more luxurious. Illumino’s tweezers are unmatched. They’re the only traditional-grip tweezers I’ve used that feel truly comfortable and balanced in my hand. They don’t require excessive pressure or strain, which has made a huge difference for my precision and endurance. The unique designs cater to different eye shapes and techniques, and they’re the only tweezers I’ve found that offer the same level of pickup quality, durability, and control as diamond-tipped or etched tweezers. Lastly, the prep products Stabilizer, Lash Prep, and Retention Boost, create the perfect environment for flawless adhesion and long-lasting results. They’ve become a non-negotiable part of my lash routine and truly elevate my retention game."

What inspired you to become a trainer with illumino?

"Becoming a trainer with Illumino felt like a natural next step in my journey. I’ve always had a passion for not only mastering my craft, but sharing what I’ve learned along the way. Illumino’s values around innovation, education, and integrity align so deeply with my own it was the first brand that made me feel like I could elevate my artistry and my impact at the same time. What truly inspired me was the desire to give other artists access to the same high-level training and game-changing techniques that transformed my own career. I wanted to be part of something bigger, to help raise the standard of the lash industry and empower others with tools that are rooted in science, artistry, and care. Becoming a Lynk-Gel trainer wasn’t just about teaching a method, it was about helping artists grow with confidence, clarity, and intention."

What’s your one thing that you noticed while using the Lynk-Gel method that the world should know?

"The one thing the world needs to know is that lash extensions don’t have to come with discomfort, damage, or limitations. The Lynk-Gel method completely changed what I thought was possible in this industry. It gives artists true control precise placement, stronger bonds, cleaner work and it gives clients a whole new level of comfort. No more stinging, no more irritation, no more sacrificing their skincare routine or worrying about retention. It’s not just a new technique it’s a complete upgrade in both performance and client care. This system proves that innovation in the lash industry can be safe, science-backed, and truly revolutionary."

Have you seen any specific “aha” moments in your clients when they realize what Lynk-Gel can do?

"Absolutely, I see it most often with first-time Lynk-Gel clients. I’ll finish a section of their lashes and do a quick check-in, and they’re shocked, they’ll say, “Wait… you already started?” They’re genuinely amazed at how comfortable and seamless the experience is compared to what they expected from traditional extensions. I also notice those “aha” moments during consultations or lash talks when I explain the science behind the method. Especially when clients ask questions about irritation, retention, or how extensions bond. You can literally see the lightbulb go off when they realize, “Oh… so that’s how it works.” It shifts their whole perspective and builds a level of trust and excitement that makes the experience even more rewarding for both of us."

How would you rate the safety of the Lynk-Gel system?

How has being a Certified Lynk-Gel Artist expanded your career and confidence?

"Becoming a certified Lynk-Gel Artist was a major turning point in both my career and my confidence. It validated the skillset I had worked so hard to build and pushed me into a new level of professionalism. I wasn’t just offering another lash service, I was offering something advanced, medically tested, and artistically refined. That distinction helped me stand out in my area and gave me the confidence to charge my worth, educate my clients more deeply, and take on a leadership role within the industry. It also opened the door to opportunities I once only dreamed of, becoming a trainer, connecting with other high-level artists, and continuing to grow in a space that values innovation and excellence. It reminded me that I’m not just in this industry, I’m helping shape it."

How would you rate the overall efficiency of the Lynk-Gel system?

How would you describe your lash style in three words?

"Intentional, custom, empowering"

What’s your go-to way to unwind after a long lashing day?

"After a long day of lashing, my favorite way to unwind is by reconnecting with the people I love, usually having a good conversation with my grandparents or my boyfriend. I also love doing something active to shake off the day, whether that’s going for a walk with my puppies, stretching, or squeezing in a quick workout. And sometimes, it’s as simple as playing a game and letting my mind fully disconnect so I can reset and recharge."

Do you have a dream client you’d love to lash one day?

"Honestly, my dream client isn’t a specific celebrity it’s someone who fully values the artistry, intention, and energy I put into my work. Someone who understands that lashes aren’t just a beauty treatment but so much more. I love working with clients who are self-aware, creative, and open to learning about the process. My dream client is someone who cares about detail, shows up for themselves, and respects the integrity of their lash health and the service. That’s the kind of energy I love to pour into, someone who reflects the same care and intention I bring into the room."

How would you rate the retention with the Lynk-Gel system?

What’s one guilty pleasure you indulge in after a full client day?

"Probably kicking back with some comfort food, a cozy hoodie, and either binge-watching a new series or playing a game to completely zone out for a bit. After pouring so much energy into my clients, I love indulging in something that’s purely for me, no overthinking, no planning, just decompressing in the simplest way."

Is there anything else you’d like to share with the illumino community—whether it's a special part of your journey, something you’re proud of, or a message for fellow lash artists?

"Everything happens for a reason” is something I’ve always believed and it’s never steered me wrong. Life can be chaotic, and in the moment, it’s easy to feel like everything is working against you. But when you take a breath, step back, and really look at how far you’ve come, you start to realize that even the hardest moments had purpose. I’ve learned to appreciate the struggles just as much as the wins, because those are the moments that built my resilience, sharpened my focus, and led me exactly where I needed to be. To every lash artist out there: trust the process, stay grounded in your “why,” and know that everything you’re doing now is shaping something bigger than you can imagine."
